To sail in Turkey it is necessary to have a “Transit Log”. The Transit Log is issued by a customs official and approved by the Harbour Master. Original ownership and registration documents are required. In our case that meant a couple of weeks of waiting for the change in registration to be processed in Canada and returned to Turkey. We spent that time living aboard DFN at the dock at Marmaris Yacht Marine, becoming acquainted with our new home and taking inventory of what is aboard.
