Yes, we are still at Marmaris Yacht Marina. One of the jobs for this week was to finish up some of the rigging that was outstanding from the mast refit last fall. Moustafa went up the mast while Roger and I took care of things on the deck. You can see me on the winch and Rog taking care of everything foredeck. Moustafa captured a couple of good pics of us on deck as well as some views of the marina. Oh yeah, he took some pics of his wonderful handiwork on the mast too; but, who wants to see that…

There are worst places to be than this state-of-the-art marina. There are all imaginable yacht services and many amenities. There is a lovely restaurant and bar, a pool, an outdoor bar in season, a new coffee shop and (our favourite) a cafeteria. The cafeteria serves a hot meal, three times a day, seven days a week. It is not fancy (“prison-style” metal serving trays); but, it is very good and affordable. We see many marina workers (and other cruisers) here at lunchtime. Lunch for two is less than CAD$10. We paid almost the same for two coffees at the swanky new coffee shop.

We had a couple of very windy days this week. During high winds, the boats on Hotel Dock (on the left/north) and India Dock (on the right/south) are tied together for extra security. If you look closely, you can see the lines and the blue hull of Dolce Farr Niente with her bow poking out about two-thirds of the way down Hotel Dock. We have more wind coming. In fact, they are out securing the lines between boats as I am typing.
We broke up the week with a couple of trips to town. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a cup of tea in the sunshine while doing ones errands.
