Marmaris Yacht Marine is on an isthmus. On one side is Marmaris Bay, on the other is the Mediterranean. Marmaris is where the Aegean and the Mediterranean meet. We often show the view from the Marina back towards Marmaris. The view above is towards sea, the other side of the isthmus. If you look closely you can see a couple of sailboats on the horizon.
The week started with beautiful warm days. We saw lots of wildflowers in bloom at the side of the road when we were out walking. I am not sure the pics do them justice.

We lost our roommate this week when Nova Vida was launched and Graham moved to his own boat. Nova Vida is looking fantastic. She is just next door; so, we can enjoy watching Graham directing the finishing touches on his boat work and orienting his newly arrived shipmate, Janet.

Almost a year since our inaugural sail, DFN finally left the dock once more. We spent the weekend in two nearby coves, Chiftlik and Ekincik. Graham and Janet joined us; it was Janet’s first time on a sailboat away from the dock. The weather was sunny and warm with light winds. Everything went smoothly.

The forecast is for heavy winds for a few days at the beginning of this week. We are back at the dock with our lists. We will be heading out for a sail as soon as the weather cooperates again.
Thank you for checking back each week. We especially enjoy hearing from you and seeing your comments.
Happy Easter!!
